Where and What I ate during my 1-week vacation in Manila?

I completed a summary of my 1-week vacation in Manila.
In this post, I want to list down where I ate when I was in the Philippines.
  • 9 Spoons in Bayleaf Intramuros
    • Food tasting for the wedding reception.
  • Bacolod Chicken Inasal
    • Jomar wants halo-halo.
  • Baliwag Lechon Manok
    • Thanks to Ms. Myna for bringing some during our potluck dinner.
  • Binalot
    • We had tocino, tapa, and bangus for breakfast.
  • Casa Roces
    • We had Sopa Molo Castiliana, Lengua in Mushroom Sauce, Pollo Iberico, Berenjana Casada, and Paella Valenciana after confirmation.
  • Chowking
    • We had Chinese-Style Pork Chop Lauriat and Lumpiang Shanghai Lauriat for breakfast before Sunday Mass.
  • Cioccolata Churros Cafe
    • We had Churros with Cacao and Caramel dip before our food tasting in Bayleaf.
  • Dairy Queen
    • We had an ice cream sandwich after dinner with Mitch in Robinsons Galleria.
  • Eat Fresh HK Famous Street Food
    • I had my favourite beef curry in a clay pot and skewers that I can't remember for dinner with Jewel.
  • Giligan's Restaurant
    • We had Kare-Kareng Gulay, Garlic Fried Chicken, and Pork Sisig for dinner.
  • The Happy Chef in Linden Suite
    • Breakfast buffet
  • Izakaya Kikufuji
    • I had my favourite Katsu Curry for dinner with Mary and Lik-Lik.
  • Jollibee
    • We had our 900-calorie breakfast of corned beef meal, sausage meal, and 2-pc Chicken Joy.
  • Kenny Rogers Roasters
    • I had a side sampler.
  • KFC
    • 2-pc Fully Loaded Meal for lunch (drowning in gravy).
  • Lolo Claro's Restaurant
    • Lumpiang Sariwa and Lumpiang Ubod for dinner with Jomar's college mentor.
  • Max's Restaurant
    • I had Chopseuy Meal, and we ordered Kare-Kare for sharing.
  • McDonald's
    • I went to McD's three times.
  • Ministop
    • Bola-Bola Siopao!
  • The Old Spaghetti House
    • I had Golden Crusted Chicken, Ham and Cheese Crepe with Angel Hair Pomodoro while Jomar had Chicken Parmigiana with Spaghetti Pomodoro.
  • Pancake House
    • House Special Set A: Taco, Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and garlic bread, 1 pc Pan Chicken and Iced Tea for lunch with Joanne.
  • Shakey's Pizza
    • Super Meal Deal with my in-laws
  • Starbucks
    • I went to Starbucks twice.
  • Tokyo Tokyo
    • We had Sumo Meal of Beef Misono and Fried Chicken Karaage
  • Yellow Cab Pizza
    • I can't remember what pizza we ordered, but I am so happy to eat Charlie Chan Pasta again with happy friends!

My first Philly Cheesesteak from The American Cheesesteak Co.

Growing up in the Philippines, I only heard of the famous Philly Cheesesteak in movies or when watching Food Network. Thus, it shouldn't come as a surprise that last Satuday was the first time I tried a Philly Cheesesteak from The American Cheesesteak Co. in Vancouver. I have an uncle and cousins in Philadelphia and when I visit my goal is to try a Philly Cheesesteak while in Philly. The same way I was so estatic to eat Japanese Katsu Curry in Japan and Vigan Empanada in Vigan. The American Cheesesteak Co. Jomar and I went to St. Paul's Hospital for the last weekend of Lights of Hope and decided to have dinner here. Why? First, it's close to Granville Street where we will take the bus going home and second, I remember seeing the You Gotta Eat Here episode featuring them. Food Trip near La Salle Taft: Exile on Main Street

+Joshua  has been raving that we try this restaurant along Leon Guinto Street, walking distance from De La Salle University-Manila. Last August 16 (Saturday), we (+Jomar, +Wayne, and Mitch) gave it a shot. We went there a little before 6:00 PM, and thankfully, we arrived at that time! There's a board games night (every Saturday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM) organized by a group of people so the place could get noisy and crowded during Saturday evening. According to Josh and his friend, it's not usually like that. The Service The service is okay. The waiter who served us didn't smile at all. He also looked tired and impatient. At first, I was a bit disappointed by that, but I just told myself that it's okay. I mean, I could imagine how tired he might be running around getting and serving orders from all the people inside such a small place! Still, the service could have been better. The Food What it lacked on service, it compensates with the yummy food.  +Wayne  h
