Happy Saturday! We started our weekend with free breakfast sandwiches from
Starbucks. 😄 Then, we walked 30 minutes across the Granville Bridge to David
Lam Park. We're attending The Big Picnic organized by The Vancouver Cherry
Blossoms Festival.
Beautiful sunny morning to admire the cherry blossoms tree.
I didn't know that David Lam Park has that many mature Cherry Blossoms tree.
It's beautiful. A lot of families, friends are picnicking under the colourful
trees. I absolutely love it!

I prayed last night that it will be a beautiful clear day instead of the
forecasted rainy day and I thank God for answering my prayers. We also ordered
the Blossom Bento Box from Sushi Private Catering and it was delicious.

Jomar and I will have our Philippine Catholic wedding in July. To enlighten those who want to have their Sacrament of Holy Matrimony in the beautiful and historic Manila Cathedral, I will share with you how much it cost. Why did we pick Manila Cathedral? I want to say that because it's historic and beautiful. But honestly, it's because Manila Cathedral has relevant information on their website for a couple like us living and already legally married abroad. Ms. Donna also responds to our emails and calls promptly. The bonus is it's historic and beautiful. According to one of my Ninang, " ang haba ng walk down the aisle mo ." I didn't think of that. I'm not sure if I like it. LOL. They also have a dashboard where you complete the forms, and it lists what you need to submit and when. It's pretty impressive. Wedding Preparation Step 1. Summer officially began on June 21, the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. The first summer weekend is busy, and we're blessed with beautiful sunny weather. Friday: Road Trip to White Rock, BC The weekend began when we took a drive from Vancouver to South Surrey, BC. It's my penultimate Friday at my current work. After dropping off company-issued devices (laptop, monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc.), we drove to White Rock, BC. The sun illuminated the horizon, and it was low-tide, exposing the rocky seafloor filled with people sunbathing. Thank God for the beautiful scenery. Canada's Longest Pier is at White Rock, BC Canada We indulged in a delicious dinner at a local restaurant, Charlie Don't Surf , then grabbed a scoop of gelato from Maya's before returning home. Saturday: Immersed in Filipino Culture at the Pinoy Festival We woke up late and had...
Ilocos Sur in the Ilocos Region of the Philippines was one of our stops during our Ilocandia Exploration. Here's a list of places we've visited in Ilocos Sur. Calle Crisologo It was my dream to see what a town or street that is a glimpse of what the Philippines looked like during the Spanish time. From the photos I see online, the best place to achieve this dream is to see and visit Vigan City personally which was our first stop during the trip. Walking in Calle Crisologo did feel like I was transported to the past, during the Spanish Era to be exact. Too bad I was only using the camera from my Samsung Galaxy Tab that I can't capture the view I am looking at during that moment.
