Top 3 Reasons Why I Love Canada

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you know that I have a love-hate relationship with Canada. Now I am giving you the Top 3 reasons why I love Canada.

  1. Family

    2. My Ohana is here. Below is our photo in Richmond Center celebrating my parent's anniversary.

  2. Feeling Vacation

    3. I still feel like that I am on a vacation. I have been here for two years and the sense of wonder is still there. Take for example, how the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage look at night. We always walk here and I never notice how it looked at night.


    Or you may stumble upon a series filming while walking Downtown.


    Additionally, here's a mural in a parking lot along Granville Street. It's impressive and worthy of a pause just so you could take a photo.


    This is what I love about Vancouver. It allows you to pause and appreciate life - well, only if you let it.

  3. Diversity

    4. More than the acceptance I feel in Canada, diversity allowed me to grow and accept culture. Moreover, I get to try and appreciate food from all over the world. Take for example, Granville Island Public Market, it has a lot of choices which shows a great display of diversity: Fish and Chips, Indian chicken curry, Chinese noodles, Japanese sushi, Mexican burrito, German sausages, Vietnamese pho, and vegetarian dishes.

Review of Joy Bus: The Deluxe Coach of Genesis Transport, Inc.

During my trip to Baguio, last March 2, 2013, Jomar and I (as recommended by friends) decided to try the Joy Bus of Genesis. We went to the bus terminal the day before to make sure we have a ticket going to Baguio and asked for the cell phone number of the person to contact in Baguio so that we could reserve our returning ticket. Reservation Number in Baguio 0906-591-6011 . She doesn't reply though.

Day 2: Outback Steakhouse and Pechanga Resort Casino | Visiting Southern California

Good morning from California! I woke up at the usual time (thank God there's no timezone difference between BC and California) and heard movements in the kitchen. So I went downstairs and saw my Tita Vickie preparing breakfast. We had spinach and mushroom omelette, longganisa (Filipino sausage), boneless bangus (my favourite!), and sinangag (garlic fried rice). Thanks, Tita Vickie, for preparing breakfast. Tita Vickie, Jomar, and I ate first because everyone else was still asleep. Tita Cherry came down first, and we discussed extended family, Philippine politics, and life in general. Then, Tita Vickie's phone rang. It was Tito Edil (eldest sibling of my mom and Titas), who lives in Philadelphia. He said, "Happy birthday!" and Tita Vickie said, "It's not my birthday."
