Jomar and I will have our Philippine Catholic wedding in July. To enlighten those who want to have their Sacrament of Holy Matrimony in the beautiful and historic Manila Cathedral, I will share with you how much it cost. Why did we pick Manila Cathedral? I want to say that because it's historic and beautiful. But honestly, it's because Manila Cathedral has relevant information on their website for a couple like us living and already legally married abroad. I moved to Canada and left the Philippines almost five years ago, and I thought of making a list of five things Filipinos should think about before deciding to move or work abroad.   1. Why are you leaving the Philippines? This is the most critical question. What's your reason for leaving? Are you currently mad at the government? Are you disappointed with the traffic? Do you want a better life for your family? Why are you even thinking about leaving? Answering this question is essential, and your reason  needs to be so strong and powerful that when things get tough abroad, it will be a source of strength. Canada Day 2023

Happy Canada Day! Our celebration began last night when we had dinner at the only Indigenous restaurant in Vancouver, Salmon n' Bannock. We enjoyed Elk Steak and Bison Soup, among other dishes. Today, our day started with breakfast at Tim Hortons. It's as cliche as it gets. Then, we walked across Granville Bridge on a beautiful clear day to Downtown Vancouver. View from Granville Bridge We were walking along Howe Street when my husband suggested we stop by and check out the activities happening in the northern plaza of the Vancouver Art Gallery. It was the Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Festival, and we enjoyed Taiwanese Sausage and had a Red Bean Wheel Cake for the first time.
