Places to Visit in Singapore

Below is a list of places I visited while in Singapore.

The Merlion Park

A visit to SG won't be complete without a visit to the mascot of the country. A walk around the park will also give a magnificent view of the Marina Bay Sands.

ArtScience Museum

The reason I went to Singapore is because of the Harry Potter Exhibition happening at the ArtScience Museum. In my opinion, it's so worth my time, effort and money. The souvenirs are quite expensive though.

Since we were already in the area, we decided to walk around The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay.

Gardens by the Bay

Little India, Singapore

We had one of our meals at the Tekka Centre which is a hawker style place with nothing but Indian food. We visited the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple and Shree Lakshmi Narayan Temple.

Singapore Botanic Gardens

The afternoon breeze and being surrounded by trees in this relaxing garden is one of the best parts of this trip. At that moment, I felt so relaxed and detached from the world as I enjoy the fresh air. I could not even sense the busy-ness of Singapore while inside the park.

Fort Canning Park

I am so scared at this place. We were here early evening, and with tall trees surrounding us, I can't feel the city. It was scary, and we even got lost!

Sentosa Island

We went to the Merlion Plaza and found out the history behind the Merlion. We, then, enjoyed the rest of our time in Universal Studios Singapore. Even if Universal is quite smaller as compared to its counterpart in Los Angeles, I still enjoyed the Far Far Away as well as Madagascar.

Sentosa is the most challenging place to get to in my experience, but we rode the Angry Birds Cable Car into our way to Sentosa, and we rode the monorail on our way back to the city.

Chinatown, Singapore

Chinatown is the place for tourist to find affordable souvenirs like key chains, ref magnets, and shirts. In this area, we visited the Chinatown Heritage Center, Singapore Coins and Notes Museum, Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum, Sri Mariamman Temple, and Masjid Jamae Mosque. All these places are within walking distance of each other.

There are more places I wish I could have visited like the Jurong Bird Park, Singapore Zoo, and experience the Night Safari but due to limited vacation days, those are just the places I was able to visit.
