I want to say that because it's historic and beautiful. But honestly, it's because Manila Cathedral has relevant information on their website for a couple like us living and already legally married abroad. Ms. Donna also responds to our emails and calls promptly. The bonus is it's historic and beautiful. According to one of my Ninang, " ang haba ng walk down the aisle mo ." I didn't think of that. Day 1: YVR to SFO to ONT | Visiting Southern California

We're flying again! First, some life updates. Last week, Jomar received news at work which would change our financial strategy. Thankfully, we booked our flight for this trip last January. It also helps that we have an emergency fund, and I still have work, so hopefully, things don't change too much. Alaska Airlines to United Airlines Three days before our flight, I received an email from Alaska Airlines that our flight had been cancelled and we needed to rebook. I calmly called the number they provided, and they rebooked us at no extra charge to United Airlines with a layover at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Our original flight meant flying out of Vancouver International Airport (YVR) at 6:00 AM with a 5 hours layover in Seattle. With the United flight, we leave Vancouver at 12:00 NN with a 2-hour layover in San Francisco. It surprisingly worked out. Whitecaps FC Canadian Championship Final

I moved to Canada from the Philippines in 2015 and have watched the Whitecaps on and off from 2016 to 2020. Last year, Jomar would always remind me to watch the Whitecaps, and we did on TSN consistently. We even managed to watch two games in person last season. In December, I decided to take the plunge and purchased the Flex Pass. We'll watch 12 of the 17 home games in BC Place. This is a big financial and time commitment. However, with our Flex Pass came a free ticket to the Canadian Championship first game, and I purchased the tickets for today's final at a discounted price. Home is a Vancouver shirt. There's an extreme heat warning today, and Vancouver's peak temperature reached 31 degrees Celsius. So we decided to take an Uber to BC Place. Fortunately, the gates opened 15 minutes earlier than expected, and they even gave a "Stand by Me" shirt to the first 15,000 fans. "Stand by Me" Shirt We had dinner, then it was the kickoff.
