Jomar and I will have our Philippine Catholic wedding in July. To enlighten those who want to have their Sacrament of Holy Matrimony in the beautiful and historic Manila Cathedral, I will share with you how much it cost. Why did we pick Manila Cathedral? I want to say that because it's historic and beautiful. But honestly, it's because Manila Cathedral has relevant information on their website for a couple like us living and already legally married abroad. Ms. Donna also responds to our emails and calls promptly. The bonus is it's historic and beautiful. According to one of my Ninang, " ang haba ng walk down the aisle mo ." I didn't think of that. I'm not sure if I like it. LOL. They also have a dashboard where you complete the forms, and it lists what you need to submit and when. It's pretty impressive. Wedding Preparation Step 1. Recently, I moved near to restaurant and food melting pot - Kapitolyo in Pasig City. Guided by our dear friend +Mitch , +Jomar and I am starting to see the many restaurants Kapitolyo has to offer. Bà Nội's (The Fresh Flavour from Vietnam) 12 East Capitol Drive, Kapitolyo, Pasig Our first dinner together was at Bà Nội's. It is a Vietnamese restaurant that used to have a branch in Makati. I was able to try their food in Makati, and here I am eating their food again. We ordered the food below: Ga Hho Cari Ha / December 16, 2013 Bu Loc Lac Corn Trang Steamed Rice / December 16, 2013 Goi Cuon / December 16, 2013 The food was good. Though I am not a fan of Vietnamese cuisine it was still good food and as always great company.
We're flying again! First, some life updates. Last week, Jomar received news at work which would change our financial strategy. Thankfully, we booked our flight for this trip last January. It also helps that we have an emergency fund, and I still have work, so hopefully, things don't change too much. Alaska Airlines to United Airlines Three days before our flight, I received an email from Alaska Airlines that our flight had been cancelled and we needed to rebook. I calmly called the number they provided, and they rebooked us at no extra charge to United Airlines with a layover at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Our original flight meant flying out of Vancouver International Airport (YVR) at 6:00 AM with a 5 hours layover in Seattle. With the United flight, we leave Vancouver at 12:00 NN with a 2-hour layover in San Francisco. It surprisingly worked out. Day 1: YVR to SFO to ONT Like any traumatized Filipino who lived and experienced...
