Day 5 of PH Wedding Vacation: Day with the In-Laws

Image
Sorry for not posting again. I'm not sure what happened, but I just forgot to continue blogging. Today, we spent the whole day in Naic, Cavite where Jomar grew up. It was Nanay's (my mother-in-law) birthday. It was the only day this trip that we could spend with Jomar's family, so we spent the whole day here until around 5:00 PM. Breakfast The day before I called Amber to order some The Original Pancit Malabon (because it's my only chance) and Pork BBQ (because the Filipino BBQ in Vancouver is no match for the one from the Philippines). For breakfast, we went to Ministop (where there is a surprisingly long line) and end up eating four random Kariman flavours. Then, at precisely 8 AM, Kuya Lito picked us up at Go Hotel. We went to pick-up the food from Amber. I'm so excited to eat! Food priority! Lunch We arrived in Naic, Cavite - specifically, Jossel's beautiful home a little bit before 10 AM. We're greeted by this little guy, it's our

Day 2 of PH Wedding Vacation: Meeting Suppliers

Image
It's our second day back in Manila. For our 7:00 AM breakfast, we went to Jollibee in Sheridan with Mother, Ate Ro, and Baya. Then, right on time, Kuya Lito (our excellent driver from ABC Rental) arrived. We're off to Muntinlupa. Meeting Tita Mimi Tita Mimi designed the gown for both mother and mother-in-law, Mitch (maid of honour), Deci, Shelly, Ate Ro, and Baya. She also altered my dress and created everything else I would need for the big day - cord, veil, arras, pillows, etc. Trying the gown for the nth time this time with the bolero and veil.  Today, we're here to pay Tita Mimi and for mother, Ate Ro, and Baya to try their gowns for the first (and only) time before the wedding. I did measurements in Canada and sent it to Tita Mimi. It's a miracle that everything fit perfectly. The length needs to be adjusted based on their shoes, but that's about it. Meeting Julius After an hour or so at Tita Mimi's, Jomar and I dropped off mother, Ate Ro

Jomar's Hometown Day 8 of PH Vacation . Food and Pre-Cana Seminar Day 9 of PH Vacation . Last Day I hate flying transpacific. Seriously! 12 hours inside a plane from Vancouver to Taipei is too long for me. Sigh. Layover in Taiwan Our 1 hour or so layover was uneventful. Except for the fact that I checked my work email and worked. I don't think I even took any photos except for this selfie with Jomar. Look how tired we looked compared to my previous post. Hello Manila! I wanna say I was excited and joyful when we arrived but mostly I am exhausted to even appreciate the bright "Magandang U

Jossel-Rose Wedding

After graduation and the joy of your first pay slip, one of the next major events in one's life would be their wedding day. Thus, I find so much pleasure that Jossel Tigcal (Jomar's brother) and Rosemarie Turan invited me to be part of this glorious and blessed day. Here are some of the photos that I have of their wedding.

Indang, Cavite: Food, Colleagues, and Work

From September 1 to 5 (yup, fresh from my Sri Lanka adventure), I went straight to Indang, Cavite for work. Below is a Google+ Story of my 5 days in the small municipality of Indang. Update: I also added two photospheres of Indang, enjoy! Less than half-day Tagaytay Trip

Image
Yes, we were in Tagaytay for less than half of a day. Last Sunday (January 19),  +Jomar , Mama  +Chelle , and I gave a tour to  +Amit Chopra  to the cold and breezy Tagaytay City. We left Manila around 6:30 AM and have found ourselves on top of the People's Park in the Sky 2 hours later. It was a cloudy day, and intense cold winds greeted us on top of the park. The view of Laguna and of course, the Taal Volcano is gloomy. The boyfriend is holding the giant pineapple. :)

Places to Visit in Cavite

Image
Jomar (my boyfriend) is from Cavite province. Because of that, we decided to have a Cavite tour as part of our Valentine-Birthday celebration. He knows how much I love going to historical places. Thus he planned an itinerary for a day trip going places that played a significant role in Philippines history. We started our trip by meeting at Ayala Avenue, Makati City. We rode a bus going to Baclaran then transferred to a bus that goes to Cavite City. After around an hour and a half due to the horrible traffic near SM Bacoor, we went down in Aguinaldo's Shrine. It was my first time there! Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine Source of the Picture

Four City in Four Weeks

Image
I was part of the DepEd Gone Google project as Change Manager and trainer. The whole experience of that would be in another entry as well as the food trip we had. In this particular post, I would like to share about the cities where we conducted training as well as hotels and places we got to visit. Davao City Our first stopped was Davao City to conduct the Mindanao leg of the training. After so much stress and drama, I would say it was a good learning experience for everyone. My Mindanao Class
